In the indudstry of sublimation paper, some of our customer often ask some question. What is the most frequent is that what is sublimation amd what is the sublimation transfer paper ? In short, sublimation printing is a printing method for Transferring images onto a polyester fabric. Sublimation refers to a process where a substance moves from a solid to a gas state without ever being in a liquid state.
When you are transfer printing something, you will need ink ,such as pigment ink or dye sublimation ink, etc. The ink is printed onto a transfer paper or fabric whereafter it goes through a heating unit running the inks through a heat press making the colors "POP". The polyester fibers open up at high temperatures allowing the gas (formerly the ink)to sublimate into them, the fibers actually become the color. The printed fabric can be washed or ironed without color fading.
It is known to all ,in most case, the shirts which is made of polyesters are more costly than a 50/50 or 100% cotton. The best way to sell sublimation is to show sublimation paper. Let your customersmake the decision. In the case of shirts let them chose between, screen-print, heat-transfer, vinyl cut materials embroidery, etc… Price each shirt based on quantity and technology.
